Homemade Soy Milk 自制豆漿 (Chinese Food 321)

Hello everyone!!
HAPPY LABOR DAY!!!
It's another day with Easy Peasy!!

Today, we will be making a super healthy and delicious drink; Soy Milk (豆漿 )!
Soy milk is a very popular and common breakfast drink for most Chinese families. Instead of milk and cereal, Chinese family often times will have soy milk along with some plain buns (饅頭). Soy milk is a great source for protein and calcium for those who are lactose intolerant.
Let's get started!! (~ ^ o ^ ~)

For this recipe, you will need::

5 - 6 handfuls of soybeans
THAT'S IT!!
How cool is that! \ (•◡•) /

Wash the soybeans under running water until water becomes clear.
Then soak the soybeans in water overnight for the soybeans to soften (as shown)

Find a blender ( or in my case NUTRIBULLET ) to grind up the soybeans
Grab 2 - 3 handfuls of soften soybeans and add water ( 1 soybean : 3 water )
BLEND AWAY!! Make sure to blend it as much as possible.

Put the draining cloth on top of the fine mesh strainer to get ride of even more soy bean particles.
Or you can just pour the soybean and water mixture through a FINE MESH STRAINER
Then, you should be left with soybean particles, DON'T WASTE THEM!
I will show you guys how to use them later (✿◠‿◠)

After you have run all of your mixtures through the strainer, cook the mixtures in a pot on high until it starts boiling.
Watch it very carefully since soymilk is prone to forming bubbles.
Then run it through the strainer one more time to avoid any left over soybean particles.

We're done!!! (~ ^@@^ ~)
That was EASY PEASY right??

I really hope that you can try this super easy and healthy recipe out!
If you like sweet soymilk, just add some sugar, if not, you can enjoy the original taste of your homemade soymilk.

What are we going to do with all that left over soybean goodness??

Stay tune for the next post to find out what I'm going to be doing with them!
