Welcome to Easy Peasy!!!
Do you have left over Oreos from last week's Dirty Milk Tea?
If you do, that would be perfect, because today, we will be making one of my all time favorite desserts of all times ... SAWDUST PUDDING!
This is going to be super fun, easy and quick to make!
I guess the reason why it's called the Sawdust pudding is because, the originally recipes are normally made with Maria Cookies. When you crush the cookies up, they will end up looking like saw dusts.
I actually made an video of the original recipe on Youtube if you are interested!
Original Saw Dust Pudding (*^______^*)
Are you ready to impress everyone with this fancy looking pudding??!?!
Let's get started!! (~ ^ 0 ^ ~)
5 Oreos - we will not be using the fillings again
Vanilla Extract - just add a 2-3 drops in the heavy cream
1 Cup of Heavy Cream - if you want, you can just use whipped cream
1 - 2 Table Spoons Sugar - adjust to your liking
Rolling Pin
Ziploc Bag
First, crush up the Oreo cookies (without the fillings) up in a ziplock bag
Whip up the Whipped Cream until med peak forms.
A: That's when the whipped cream has a smooth and NOT RUNNY consistency, and the peak that the beater or the whisk creates will hold for a few moments.
Get a pretty clear cup/container of your choice, and start layering the whipped cream on the bottom of the container. 2 spoons of whipped cream per layer for smaller containers, 3 - 4 for larger containers.
EASYTIPS ::
- Lightly tab the table on the surface of the table, so the whipped cream can fall into place and create a smooth and flat surface!!
Lightly "Dust" the Oreo crumbs onto the whipped cream surface.
EASYTIPS ::
- Rotate the cup/container while you are LIGHTLY dusting the cookies so create a more even coverage of cookies!
It should look something like this!
And then repeat the process.
Whipped cream + Oreo + Whipped Cream + Oreo ...
